Hi All,
I've been working on a new pole and I'm pleased to say it's now complete and in the shed.
It's a painters and decorators roller extension, about as long as the old one. You extend it by rotating the black plastic collar and then lock it by tightening it up again once it's in position.
A copy of the rules and plan and a 35mhz peg bit is on the front, a fire extinguisher and first aid kit is on the back.
I would appreciate it if anything is used it is replaced or at least the committee is notified.
Also now done are the painted lines, so the tapes are no longer necessary. The paint can is behind the door in the shed, if the lines are fading and anyone can be bothered (and has a steady hand) please feel free to top them up.
Any feedback, preferably constructive, would be welcome, please try to look after the pole.

Hi all,
As Summer is approaching I'd like to test the water and see how much interest there is for a repeat of last year's tri-club competitions? For those who don't know, for the past couple of years, three local clubs (ourselves, West London and Wycombe) joined forces to organise some friendly fixed wing competition events, one held at each club. The events consisted of timed circuits, spot landings, taxi'ing through cones, etc. You can search "tri-club" using the forum search feature if you want more info on what took place last year.
The feedback we had at the time was that everyone found it enjoyable. The competition element is played down (no-one takes it too seriously) so don't worry if you're not an uber-ace pilot, everyone is welcome. It is a great opportunity to fly at other clubs and meet members from other local clubs.
I took part last year and had a great time.
Will anyone from Slough club want to compete in the events this year and will the club be happy to play host to visitors from 2 other clubs for an event on Sunday 15th July? Due to the nature of a competition it does tend to take over the sky for the couple of hours in which it runs.
The first event will be on Sunday 13th May at High Wycombe's field.
Could any one interested in taking part post up here so I can get an idea of the level of interest? I am happy to organise the Slough side of things if enough members want to take part.
As the events are a bit of fun, its best to enter with a fomie or something you dont mind strapping an egg box to I entered with the Funcub last year and this year will probably use the Acromaster for a couple of the events. A flying wing is great for the limbo event.

So with the unstarted TF P39 shelved as a future project the TF gold edition P47 gets the go ahead.
After reading the printed manual over the last few weeks I feel this kit is more my level, well sort of. There are a few areas that I will need to learn such as skinning as one example but will teach me the skills needed for the P39.
So the kit also has the cockpit and engine radial kits along with unitracts retracts including a retractable tail unit.

Hi folks, I prefer building to typing but here are some pics of the (slow) progress of my Spit. I got the traplet plan pack, which was excellent. I've just got the unitract retracts, which seem very good also. I intend to get a Laser 150 as per the plan. The ailerons and flaps were very fiddly and have no external horns so took a long time but the very clever BT aileron levers work very well. I've used bellcranks and a single aileron servo as per the plan. The retract bottle will also be mounted on the centre section of the wing for ease. At 83" it's some wingspan so I've tried to do as mu...
