On the e2k planes Chris we use the opto s/c and we've found by simply turning the receiver battery off (main battery connected) by conventional switch the motor cannot start up as it needs the receiver powered up, the drawback is dependent on what s/c you use as some will stay silent and some brands will beep beep constantly, the other danger as ive done is forgetting to remove the battery from the plane leaving it connected to the s/c and realising 2 days later only to find the lipo drained below its min
the wing connector does look pretty neat, ill have to try it out on one of mine
