Just solved the motor problem I had. I was getting 7min flights from 1300Mah 3s battery suddenly It dropped to 3mins and the motor got VERY hot??? Anyway the stock motor was always crap so I took the 3000kv Mystery motor from my Stryker reversed the shaft and fitted the 10t pinion(thought i might need 11since stock motor is labelled 3300KV) and tried it. Motor comes down cool, battery only slightly warm and now I got 11mins continuous hovering and only slightly more pitch to hover. So, Graham, I may perseverve with it a little longer.
