That is probably the record holding Funjet then! They must have used a small 6S pack. 2 flights per Hacker motor could be expensive - fun though

A quick update....
Have done some more painting - and the motor arrived today.....
The motor is actually 3400 kV so its going to be a right little screamer - even on 3S. Heres a pic of it test fitted to the motor mount.
I want this ready for FunFly day on Sunday. The 80Amp ESC and 4S packs wont be here by then. So I can fly it on Sunday, I'll use a 50Amp ESC that is lying around and 3S packs.

OK - I've had a few flights now on the 3S setup. Titu, Ian White, Gareth and Guy have kindly given me hand launches. Still not happy launching it myself until I'm more used to it. The smaller prop means less static thrust - so it does need a decent throw even with all that extra power.
Consensus seems to be that it's doing around 120 MPH at WOT. Have had a couple of fun races with Titu's Extra 340. The Stryker is faster downwind or with no wind and the Extra quicker into wind due to all the torque produced by that tractor at the front
The stryker definitely has more vertical.
The 80Amp ESC and 4S pack have arrvived so I'm ready to make some mods for a 4S setup. Have had some good advice on mods so heres what I intend to do before test flying it with a 4S pack.
4S will give me about 700W as opposed to about 450W now. This should be good for an additional 20MPH or so.
Graham suggested carbon tubes to reinforce the control rods to prevent them bending when applying down elevator. These have been ordered. Gareth suggested a Graupner Camspeed carbon prop. It should be more rigid and be able to better handle the extra RPM at 4S than the APC. These props are used by pylon racers in competitions so seems a good option. One has been ordered from Robot birds (4.7 x 4.7) along with the carbon tube.
I'm going to free up the hinges - as they are quite stiff from all the reinforcement I've added. AndyB suggested taking the clevices off and cycling them a couple of hundred times each - something to do in front of the TV
I had C of G problems with initial flights of the 3S setup - too far back. I'll be making sure the C of G is in the same place once I've made the mods for 4S. It's flying really well right now.
Aim will be to be able to easily swap between 3 and 4S - its well fast enough on 3S - 4S is just for a bit of extra fun :D
Should have it ready for a test flight on 4S sometime next week. I'll be applying full throttle in short burts to start with until i'm happy that the wing, servos, control surfaces and battery pack can handle the power and current draw. I dont want a flourescent orange fireball heading towards Windsor castle at 140MPH
Her Maj might not be impressed with a bright orange splat on one of her towers.....
